Bridge, Evening Snowfall

A Jean Haines inspired painting.

I painted freehand using whatever colors I had on my palette as a fun exercise to create a bridge scene. I used Winsor Violet, Gold Ochre, Jaynes Grey, Moonglow, Windsor Lemon and Scarlet Lake.

White gouache spattered onto the painting created the snowy effect that I was looking for at the end.

Since it is painted in a vignette style, I thought that it would look best displayed using a round mat in a dark shade of gray.

What do you think?

Now I am off to Michaels for more art supplies!

Happy painting,

Helen
