Ghost Town: 1936 Chevy Coupe

Bodie, California.

A genuine gold mining ghost town. Visiting there would be quite the adventure, but for now, I will have to settle on strolling through their Website and watching the video below.

The reference photo can be viewed and downloaded for free on Pixabay. A few artistic liberties were taken by adding the cacti. Color selection as well as the addition of cacti came via Paul Clark, UK watercolor artist.

Painted on Stonehenge Aqua Coldpress, 600 GSM, size 10 x 14 inches, using the following watercolors: Cobalt Blue, Cerulean Blue, Burnt Umber, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Paynes Gray, White Gouache, and a white quartz watercolor pencil.
