Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

I just had to paint this sweet little puppy face!

The reference photo I used came via Pixabay and was provided by photographer Pics by Fran. Paint inspiration from Louise De Masi.

It took me a week to get my painting completed. Since it is spring time in the real estate market, painting occurs in the wee hours of the morning and sometimes not even then.

Today I finally finished him and put away my watercolor paints: Lamp Black, Burnt Sienna, French Ultramarine, Sepia and white gouache.

I painted him fairly large, using a sheet of Strathmore Watercolor paper in size 15 x 20 inches.
