Christmas Gift

Merry Christmas to all! I needed something bright and cheerful to paint for the holiday season and since it has been such a busy time of year, I needed it to be simple. I found the perfect idea from Louise DeMasi. If you haven’t heard of her, check out her website. She is one of the best watercolor instructors out there.

Here are a few images of my painting. I liked this painting so much that I hung it in my office where it will likely stay till spring. The colors used were my favorite standbys: French Ultramarine, Burnt Sienna and Scarlet Lake. The blue and sienna were mixed to make the gray shadow paint.
