An Ode to the Farm

She is painted in watercolor standing at the waters edge. I remember a long time ago my grandpa built a pond on the farm for the cattle.

In the photos it would have been left and back a-ways from where the cattle are standing.

During those days we raised beef cattle, but in earlier days there were also milking cows.

Seeing this watercolor demonstration by https://www.louisedemasi.com/ brought back memories.

I painted her as Louise suggested and the only minor difference is the mixing of my own colors and putting just a hint of reflection in the cow’s eye.

And of course Louise is a most excellent artist, I just wannabe :)
