Bunny in Spring

Spring has sprung!

Painting this little bunny in pastel spring colors reminded me of past Easter celebrations, flooding my memory of Easter egg hunts as a child. We little ones had colored such pretty hard boiled eggs. They were hidden all over the field at the farm and off we went with baskets in hand to find as many as we could! I loved my little colored eggs.

I wanted to keep them forever

In a plastic bag

In my closet

I can still hear my mother say "Whew, what stinks in here?!"

Inspiration for this painting came from Louise De Masi https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxeCQSu-MmRDUi8i7X2HWwQ and reference photo from Stefan Fluck of Unsplash:

Painted on Arches Cold Pressed 10 x 14 Watercolor Pad, 300 lb, using the following colors: Phthalo Blue, Burnt Sienna, Lamp Black, Raw Umber, and Winsor Violet.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Helen
