Red Bellied Woodpecker
Another bird of the garden, the WV Botanical Garden, that is. I am still working on the bird catalog for the children's section of the garden and this is one of the birds requested. This is the fourth bird in the series and I think it turned out quite well.

Sketching and painting these birds from the garden makes me anxious for spring to come. It's just around the corner, right?
I guess I need to learn to love bird watching in the cold weather. So this weekend, I intend to bundle up, grab the binoculars, and go see which birds are in the garden.
